The Girvin Flex-Stem is one of very few stem-integrated suspension systems in mountain biking. It uses a rubber elastomer bushing as the travel component of the suspension system. The flex stem was one of the first forms of mountain bike suspension. It's certainly an eye catcher and and is still valued in cyclocross & gravel
